Must win!
Over 33 years pulling for the Saints has taught me not to count my chickens before they are hatched. I'm anxious to see them win this Sunday and clinch a playoff spot. Its hard to beleive , but they could go 10-6 and miss the playoffs. If they beat Cinn and lose to the Vikes and Car and the pesky Giants win 3 we will be on the outside looking in.
Hopefully my worries are for nothing. As far as seeding, I just want in the playoffs, because the Saints are capable if they get in to win some games. One item of interest is that the Saints are 5-0 on grass this year so playing on the road shouldn't be that hard. I keep hearing how GB is unbeatable at Lambeau Field, but there is a 1st time for everything, just get in the playoffs and see what happens. |

I agree, JM. There is always that outside chance that the SAINTS could miss the playoffs, but I don\'t see them choking down the stretch. This is not the SAINTS of old. They have a real winning spirit and I too believe that they will play respectably in the playoffs -- hopefully advancing at least a couple of rounds. After that, who knows. But San Diego is not entirely out of the question. We can only hope.

Whats the worst that can happen? The giants win the last 3 (very doubtful). Could the Saints even try to lose to the Bengals, Vikings, and Panthers? (that would be very hard to do). The Falcons win out.(very possible). Then the Saints would miss the playoffs. Once again could the saints put in their second string offense and lose to the Bengals? I am booking my flight to San Diego as we speak. Hope to see ya\'ll there.

Give me another reason to doubt the Saints because so far it aint happening. I have said it all season and will continue to say this is a team that is for real. I would like to see them win out the season and peak at the right time. We could go all the way.

i hope we win out and get a first round bye, it would have helped if the refs hadent cheated the vikings last week and the 49ers would have lost to dallas

I\'m with ya here, SaintStoneyMount. That would sure make my year as well as the better part of next year too! 12-4 in the regular season, followed by a strong showing in the playoffs (living up to their REAL potential by tearing up opponents on the road) and an eventual trip to the Bowl.
Hey, it could happen and there has never been a time that this scenario was more possible and even likely than right NOW. The SAINTS really do have what it takes to do this year and they are getting better all the time. They just need to keep as many guys healthy as possible and play like the winners they are. jm, I can see where you\'re coming from. I\'ve been a Saints fan since 1967. However I have to argree with the rest of these guys. This ain\'t the same old Saints Just think back and try to remember a time when we had so much speed and such a desire to win it all. I still get butterflies at times late in games when it looks like they\'ll mess up the game they played so hard to win. Somehow this team seems to find a way to win as opposed to a way to lose. These Guys are for real! Sorry I used your line SSM but I couldn\'t think of anything better.LOL
