San Francisco 49ers holding no ill will toward New Orleans Saints for Gregg Williams' speech last season
Why should they? They did WIN the game!!
The sentence has become synonymous with the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal. "Kill the head and the body will die." Former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams matter of factly uttered his mantra for the defense on numerous occasions in a pregame speech leading up to the Saints' NFC divisional game against the San Francisco 49ers. The disturbing audio became public the same day Saints Coach Sean Payton, General Manager Mickey Loomis and linebackers coach Joe Vitt faced the NFL to appeal their suspensions connected to the bounty scandal. Compared to what Harbaugh likely says in the locker room, Williams little speech is probably weak sauce.

... and it is football after all. If anyone should understand that it's just motivational rhetoric and not harbor any ill-will, you would think it would be the guys that play the sport and hear it week-in/week-out ... good to hear the 49'ers are so full of compassion and human understanding, ... what a bunch of self-righteous, sanctimonious twits ... this is definitely a "Oh, STFU" moment ...
