Why So Worried???
I keep reading how so many fans etc. are so worried about our upcoming schedule. Oh my, we've got to play the Whiners, the Dirty Birds again, the Giants, and Tampa again. I say GREAT!! These are the kind of games you WANT TO PLAY IN. These are the defining games. The ones where you make a name for yourselves or not. I think it's EXCITING!! Not scary.
We have the opportunity to continue to refine our game against some of the best teams in the league, and some of those teams, we're going to see again if we do in fact make the playoffs. We've been getting better each of the last 4 weeks. This week we see if we can keep our run game going and improve our passing game against a 3-4 defense which seems to give us trouble every time we face one. This week we see if we have the intestinal fortitude to get physical. To fight back and impose our will on a very good, physical team. Some think it will turn into a slug fest, but consider, why should we stoop to the Whiners tactics? We are an offensive Juggernaut. Yes, keep balance as much as possible only to make them respect the run game but do what we do. Don't get mired up in getting into that slug fest. Next up, we get the Dirty Birds again. Another chance to embarrass them in their own home and get deeper into their heads. You know there is no pressure on us. It's all on them. They'll be thinking about how they can't gain a yard on 3rd, or 4th and 1, anywhere on the field. They'll be thinking that no matter what they do, we'll do something better and beat them. It's another chance to give them their second loss of the year. We represent in Atl. and it will be like a home game if we are 6-5 going in. If we get into the dance, we'll even get a chance to beat them twice in their own house. It just doesn't get any better than that. Next, the Giants. The Giants are on the downswing. We always give the Giants trouble and it's another chance to beat a Manning after that embarrassing Denver game. I don't see us losing this one either. After this three game run, who's out there that we should be scared of?? Nobody!! Lets Get Ready to RRrrrruuuummmmmmbbbbbllllleeeee!!! WHO DAT!! |

Re: Why So Worried???
Honestly if we beat the 9ers tomorrow. There's not one other team that can stop us.

Re: Why So Worried???
Exactly, and we get to hone our offense and defense against some of the top teams along the way.

Re: Why So Worried???
We have a pretty good team ourselves. Theres no one left on our remaining schedule that scares me. Remember, we dropped 32 points on this defense last year and that was with 5 turnovers. We're on a roll now, playing "Payton Ball". This team is very capable of running the table. And while Tim Ryan has thrown in the towel on us, Pat Kirwan hasn't.
Bottom line: MAKE IT HAPPEN SAINTS!!! |

Re: Why So Worried???
I'm worried about every game we play and won't sit still until we have a comfortable lead, winning today would be huge for us

Re: Why So Worried???
We need to go 3-1 at least, and the two most important are inter divy.

Re: Why So Worried???
We need to stop being so afraid.....trust and believe all these other teams KNOW we are no 5-5 team and they know we are Elite. So they are afraid themselves!

Marlboro, I like your spirit. Yes, I am worr, I mean anxious.
Alaska, too funny. Saints, for pride sake, for numbers sake, these two wins in this one week, the NFL, every other team, and the media, can take it and shove it. Defeating, I mean disgracing these two teams (SF and AF) this week would be for the NFL history books, best ever games. |
