We're now FAR from predictable
We used to have a receiver, #80, who could get us whatever we want.
We used to have a running back, #23, who could get us most of what we want. We used to have a running back, #43, who we'd throw a screen to about every 3rd play and he'd get us most of what we want. We used to have a running back, #29, who runs around the right side too predictably and does amazing things with that and you wonder how he keeps getting away with it always to the right like that. We used to have a receiver, #12 who caught things that touched BOTH of his hands. We used to have a QB, #9, who could find his way out of a pocket and scramble forward of the line of scrimmage when he HAD TO. We used to have a kick or punt return every game or two that got us forward of the 30 yard line. We used to need a field goal kicker every once in a while. Man, I wish we were predictable again. I'll never complain about that again, I promise. Alaska |

Re: We're now FAR from predictable
We used to wear bags over our heads.
We used to get beat my Atlanta ... nearly always. We used to wonder what it would be like to have a winning season much less make or win a playoff game. We used to understand the ups and downs of the game, that EVERY player and team has its bad days/weeks/seasons and not turn on them. Stop blaming the QB Stop Blaming the Defense Stop blaming the Receivers Stop blaming the RBs Start blaming what cause this season to be out of "the norm" for us. Reach back and remember we have no coach. Turn on the lamp and realize that we are doing one hell of a lot better than everyone expected, and doing better than most of the teams that are fully intact. Win 1 Super Bowl and we forget how human the game really is. How about this, lets panic and use ALL of out draft picks on OTs. |

Re: We're now FAR from predictable
Are we going to become the LSU fans of the NFL? You know, the kind of fans who think it's ordained by God that we're supposed to win every game and every championship and if we don't we need to crucify any players or coaches who don't live up to the standard.

Re: We're now FAR from predictable
I agree TheOak. I was in attendance at the Falcons 62 - 7 beat down in Tulane Stadium and sadly at the first Big Ben in the Dome. I remember when all when we wanted was to "have a chance to win" to "be respected". How quickly we become jaded.
100 million too much for a QB? Ask Phoenix and Philly if they'd like to take Drew off our hands. For that much ask Dallas which #9 they'd prefer? |
