The defense only gave up 17 points.
The offense did not do what they needed to do but consider that we were down to our 4th RT who was signed as a replacement to the replacement to the backup -- this sounds like a common theme this year. Consider that we traded off big plays (the punt fumble by them, and deflected pass for a TAINT aka Touchdown After INT), then the difference was the first TAINT. The defense did an admirable job to keep the last 49ers score to a FG but they were on the field for a very long time. They must get off the field sooner. The Saints are not out of it this yet. |
