Re: The conversation that must be had
Play the man. If we are losing put in Daniels late. If we are winning put Daniels in late.

Re: The conversation that must be had
I can understand what you're saying. I even made this same comment in a different thread. If we did that, it would give us a better opportunity to get Chase some time and then we could possibly tender him at a 2nd round rate and recoup our second round pick. Additionally, it would be a slap in the face of roger goodell and the NFL that we refuse to risk our best player in meaningless games now that goodells attempts to destroy our team and our chances this year have taken their final toll so let them eat scraps. I also understand that the fans would feel slighted but were I a season ticket holder, I would not feel that way and I don't think our team would feel that way either. It would be like telling goodell to go screw himself so I would still support my team and still go to the games and still cheer my team and support their decision because I understand why they were doing that. But there's another side of me that refuses to lose, that does not yield, that doesn't concede a victory, but this is not war, no one's life is on the line so I'm torn on this issue.

Re: The conversation that must be had
Have to start playing Chase late in games. We need all the draft picks we can get. We are already down 2, a 2nd and another undisclosed to Seattle. If he does well we may be able to get a 3rd or 4th round for him. If you want to send a message to Goodell, get all the picks back.

Re: The conversation that must be had
I took my 12 year son to see the mariners play the Orioles a couple years a go in Seattle. Planned the trip for months, spent quite a bit of cash on the trip, when we got to the stadium........Ripken sat out...it was just after he broke the iron man record...we were crushed. Play Brees, please. It is what it is.

Re: The conversation that must be had
We are not mathematically out of the playoff picture but even if we were you don't sit a quarterback because he had 2 bad games.
You give him some help, by running the football; which is what should have happened in the last 2 games. It's not all on Drew. The coaching is at fault also. I wish people would realize that and stop putting it all in Drew's lap. |
Re: The conversation that must be had
Problem is nobody has the balls to sit Drew Brees. He practically owns the Saints and so-goes-Drew-so-goes-our-game.
Once we become non-competitive, I'd sit him. Chase Daniels may be another Aaron Rodgers but we'll never know because he is Drew's towel boy. His magic wand is smoking and sputtering. Let's let him recharge for Payton's return. He can go make another Trust Fund baby or something... Alaska |

It's STUPID to play Drew from here on out. We pulled him when we were 13-0, didn't we? Oh, I forgot... Fantasy Football league fantasies must still be fulfilled. My bad. Alaska |
We have yet to reach 0% possibility of play offs.
When I mentioned drew sitting it was for the rest of a game not a damn season... JC! |
