Guys/gals, not here to gloat.... without a doubt The Saint's GAVE this game to us. I am one of the FEW Falcon Fans that can admit you guys are better than us, even though I hate the Saints ;) {All in fun}
I am glad we won, but we didn't beat you, Ryan and our offense were shut down. Our D won that game, with help from Brees.

As a Falcons Fan, I cheer the SAint's when it's playoff time if the Falcons are out because you guys rep. the NFC South.

It was a good game, {both times} always fun to watch, but I personally think if Drew was on his game last night, you would have won it.

Now...don't go re-posting this on our board :)

The reason why we hate the Falcons AND Falcons fans is because of the years of vile hatred and abuse that Falcs fans have spewed over the years. Your fans just egged our team bus, don't expect niceness around here.

I think it's great that you feel the way you do, but, you are in the minority if you don't hate the Saints AND Saints fans.

Personally, I hope that the Falcons never make it to another Super Bowl. I don't feel that way about any other NFL team, in fact, I'd like to see the Lions, Browns, Chargers and teams like that win a SB one day . . . but certainly NOT the Atlanta Falcons.

Falcons fans have burnt the bridges, IMHO.

To the OP, appreciate the sentiment. We absolutely blew it, plain and simple. The best defensive performance of the year. When your defense holds the other team to 2-10 on 3rd down conversions, the offense has to show up. Coaching FAIL!

The thought is there, and appreciated. Glad to know at least one clown fan recognizes a game that was gift wrapped and handed to them. But don't expect anybody to be all thankful that you came here and said it, because lets call a spade a spade and admit that you are still gloating by coming here and posting about this at all.

Great delivery and sentiment, however your timing resembles Drew's passes last night. :D

I was talking to a co-worker this morning and he was all pissed about Drew throwing 5 INts, I looked at him and said he only threw 2 INts... The other 3 were defensive receptions.

To intercept is to stop something from reaching its intended target. Obviously when it goes to a Falcon with no Saint around... The ball reached the target it was headed for.

Peace, pot, microdot... Now get the hell out of here while I can keep the hounds at bay.

If both sides take off their black and gold, or black and red "homer" glasses, what we all saw last night was an over rated fairly mediocre team barely slip past a rudderless dysfunctional pretty good team without its head coach. Not that its an excuse mind you, it isn't, but watching the fine details of the Saints team week in and week out this season, compared to the same players with a head coach last year, I'd tell any Falcons fan reading this that I've come to the conclusion this year, that beating a team without its head coach, is a little bit like beating a guy with one leg in a footrace, it's not really that hard to do, or like kicking a wino who is in the gutter, and that losing to a team without its head coach (which the Falcons also did) is likewise also really not something to feel very confident or cocky about. There is a reason why all those interim coaches around the NFL all seem to historically have records like 2-6, 3-7, 4-12 and stuff like that.


Having seen the 49ers precisely one week before and using the Saints as a head to head comparison template, it's obvious to me that the 49ers will chew up the Atlanta Falcons and spit out the bones all over the field. Doesn't matter which field. If I were you I'd hope you don't cross paths with them, and having been beaten by both I would still say the 49ers are a better team, by a mile.

If this is legit, thanks. I live in enemy territory in Atlanta and have heard nothing but BS all morning from people.

Truth is we did give you the game and Brees had the worst game of his career. You shoulda beat us by 50 but barely beat us by 10. We score before the half and dont abandon the runm, we have a whole diff ballgame. But it is what it is.

This is why the falcons get ZERO respect. They dont blow anyone out or dominate. Last night you had a chance to make a statement. You didnt, but you guys act like you won the SB.

You will get curb stomped by the niners in the playoffs.

Same here, SloMo. I know many Falcons fans quite well and that was NOT the way any of them would react. First, it is not in the nature to NOT gloat. They get to do it so seldom. Second, I have never met one that didn't absolutely hate the Saints and our fans ... kinda, sorta the way a little brother hates the older brother that always picks on them.

Both teams kinda sucked last night. Understand though, for a Falcon fan you are the minority to what we are used to. Glad your team is doing well, you can enjoy all the bandwagon fans now like we have had to put up with. Of course, you're probably more accustomed to bandwagon fans up there are.
I still hope you guys are one and done in the post-season and I will certainly not cheer for your team in OUR house. I appreciate your effort.

Excuse me! Your defense owned us? Are you frickin' serious? Your defense gave up almost 440 yards ... your third WORST effort of the Season behind the suck ass Raiders and your other game against the Saints.

The game all hung on five plays. The five picks.


DeCoud - Brees tried to look him off and took the shot too late gave DeCoud the chance to close - Good play by DeCoud on a bad decision by Brees when the play couldn't be made.

Spoon - Brees threw a bad pass Ivory couldn't adjust allowing Spoon to pick it off - Bad pass by Brees, good play by Spoon.

Moore number 1 - Brees threw across his body, but Moore would have likely jumped anything thrown into that area as he was seemingly in a rover type role on that play - Very good play by Moore and Brees doesn't have the excuse of throwing across the body. He shouldn't have attempted the throw.

Babineaux - Similar to the Peters pick Brees, made a bad throw under pressure, not sure who either of those attempts were too, not sure if it was an attempt to ground the ball -Brees should have taken the sack. That was a stupid throw.

Moore number 2 - Moore made a good play - Brees underthrew that pass badly, but yes, Moore made a tremendous play on a ball that should have fallen well short. Mucho props to Moore on that dagger in the heart play.

Don't get all high and mighty. Your offense sucked and this game above all showed the expense of not having Payton who would have kept Brees under control.

Yes, the Saints have not been playing well, on target al this year. Yes, Brees pics were a nice and very thoughtful Christmas gift .
Saints, as you know, have had many problems this year and mainly havig no head coach, The Boss, is the main proof of these awful L's.

AtlF, N.O. Sai nts even when the divison was SF, L.A. Rams, Atlfalcons, the Saints, I cannot say there was bad vibes with Atlanta or the fans.
N.O.-Atlanta is an easy trip to make and fans from both places often go the games of their teams when they play the opposing city.
Great for the economy in city when these two teams play against each other.

AtlFalcons , yes, are on a roll for this year. Enjoy your team and all that fandom and parties and things.

It turns out the person who egged the Saints bus at Atl-H airport was one employee of the airport.
Saints' players posing around the opposing teams' center field emblem is totally different. Those Saint's, after a win, would do this. It was not harmful to anyone. It was their personal pic for their personal photbooks. they were not doing something like throwing eggs (vandalism) on the property.

Supporting Atlfalcons....I will have to go with the Texans. I like their players. It has nothing to do with disliking AtlF or Saints vs. AtlantaFal games.

Saints wining the SB, and this current team being a high ranking team these past years have really spoiled Saints ' fans.. Before, it was always cheer and pick another team during the season and Playoffs and SB. It was just really fun to follow the Saints and pick them for Playoffs and , two NFC conf games they played in, wow!
It is like your home team can actually be there. It is a differnt viewpoint from all those years before.
I followed and cheered on SanFran 49'ers (Montana-Rice years), WashRedskins ( Doug Williams year) and other teams. I probably cheerd on the Dallas Cowboys some years too during Aikin-Emmitt years. I think I did.
Until this current Saints' team rebuilds, it is hard to cheer on any other team.
