Saints 2012 Season

I know a lot of you feel like Bounty Gate is not over, you still want retribution and even though the player suspensions and punishment have been vacated you feel the score is not settled.

I actually expected to see nothing but happiness at Tag's action but there wasn't. Your angry, and no matter what happens from this point on you will still be angry. Come to terms with that. What you are wanting is not possible, and you will never see it in your life time.

Paul Taglibu's statement is exactly what you should have expected. A corporate executive posturing to protect his company while trying to make something very ugly go away.

His statement "The entire case has been contaminated by the coaches and others in the Saints' organization" is correct. This entire case and ordeal was played out in public, in legal courts, etc... That goes against the CBA. It was rightfully played out because Goodell was wrong in his direct actions but right in the spirit of protecting the NFL. However, that does not mean that it didnt actually contaminate the CBA process which was agreed to by every single player.

Tag didnt vacate the player punishments because he thought they were innocent, he vacated them because the process was skewed and couldn't be completed. Did you see the part where the players were ALLOWED TO SEE THE REST OF THE LEAGUES EVIDENCE? That is what everyone wanted, but no one seems happy that the players were allowed to see it all with their lawyers. If for one moment you think WE AS FANS have any right what so ever to see that, you are very wrong. Even though it was played out in public that entire ordeal is between a corporation comprised of privately owned portions that employ employees that have a right to privacy of what ever goes on between the corporation and its employees.

Even if Goodell was fired at noon today and Sean Payton's suspension was lifted you would still be mad and want more.... Because your wanting what has been done to be completely undone. The damage to the 2012 season cant ever be undone, and no one owes you a thing.

I don't really feel that some people try to comprehend the mental and physical toll that this seasons issues have taken on the players. ALL of them. The week end week out drama, unknowns, and frustration from Bounty gate alone are exhausting to all of the players. It effected their personal lives as well as their professional lives. It effected them on the field and will continue to effect them until this is OVER WITH. Unless you want next season to start with and have some of the same issues as this season. YOU WILL WANT IT OVER WITH ALSO.

This statement will give a lot of you heartburn but it is what it is. Vilma continuing with his own personal vendetta is just that. Vilma worrying about Vilma... and putting him self before the team. Drew got blasted for that just because his Agent held out for a large contract (to get a bigger commission). Vilmas lawyer will push him to continue the battle so he can collect his 35% on top of the hourly rate.

I worked for Halliburton and was working in BPs office when Maccondo happened. That entire ordeal was exhausting and I played no first hand part in Maccondo. Lunches, meetings, phone calls, hell... even a ride to a meeting with a coworker was consumed with speculation, discussion etc... These players lived this entire season with exactly that even though only a hand full were directly effected. In the mind of a 2012 Saints player was basically the same as the countless threads and speculation here... What is going to happen to my fellow players, what will happen to my Team, what will happen to my employer, would of, should of, could of...... Why...

Please, lets put this to bed and let it go.... its not healthy to want to see a fight for the sake of a fight.

If you actually think that ALL party's in this are 100% innocent you are delusional. The accused players and the lawyers have seen the evidence. Its there and something happened that shouldn't have.

Re: Saints 2012 Season

My desire to see Roger burn will never waiver.

Does that make me delusional? Maybe.

So what? Hope and change baby. Hope and change. LOL

Oh and by the way, I WILL meet Zooey too. Bank it.

I thought you were going to marry her? Have you scaled back your plans?

Re: Saints 2012 Season

I just don't know that this can happen until the the last game is played in February, we have our coach back with a vengence, and they retire the word "bounty" from use in the NFL or at least equate its meaning to "bull****".
Moving on from this season is a very appealing thought, but I'm not ready. I am just looking forward to hopefully ending 8-8 and then watching the Falcons go 0-4, that will make me feel better for sure.

Re: Saints 2012 Season

I'll tell you what's owed to us and the city of New Orleans after what they took from us in 2012 is being awarded another superbowl and as soon as possible. There will still be backlash during the superbowl this year and new Orleans will probably get a bad review because of bad service and lack of volunteers but under the circumstances what do they expect? Since we can't get a mulligan on the season, we should at least get to host another superbowl and the sooner the better..
