1000yds reciever?

We actually have 3 guys on the roster with a chance of reaching 1000yds.

Marques Colston has 949yds on 68 receptions and is almost a lock to get 1000 next week.

Lance Moore ha 890yds so far and has a chance of reaching 1000, even thou its a slim one IMHO.

And then we have Jimmy Graham who has 779yds so far. He would have to average 110,5yds per game the last two games to reach it but I actually think there is a chance of that happening. He had a good game yesterday and I hope he can build on that.

Brees has thrown for more than 4000yds for the 7th time since joining the Saints. He is currently on pace to finish with 4900yds.

W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Is it possible for a player to get inducted in the HOF without every making a pro bowl? Colston's numbers are getting close to WRs already inducted and he will likely surpass them on sheer numbers.

I don't see why not. Ever since they started allowing fans to vote on the ProBowl selection, it's become more of a popularity contest than a true indicator of who is best in the league. Might help if he could get a few All-Pro selections though.

True.

Both HOF and Pro Bowl, at some stage in their process includes preferences of the public and .. cough, cough.... "representatives"

The Pro Bowl is a joke... HoF is based on Rings, TDs, Yardage, and all-pros...... And most importantly who else you are up against in your HoF eligibility year.

A lot of players should already be in based on their own merit but greater players are in line pushing them back...

And whether those voters (columnists) like you or not.

Agree that Colston is a lock - provided Brees doesn't submit the guy to a mighty lick on one of the passes.

After that, I think Moore has at least the same chance as Graham.

Moore needs 110 yards.. graham needs 250 and hasnt had more than two 80 yard games this season... I dont see Graham making it.

Cannot disagree.

Further:
Fact: Moore has got >55 yards p g on 8 of his 14 games.
Opinion: Moore will be a long way into that 110 yards in the Dallas game with just 2 catches because they will net 40 yards. And Moore will probably get 8+ chances to make reception yards over the remaining 2 games
