........the offense will be just fine this year. I've heard a lot of concern about the Saints offense. Let's not forget just how talented this offense is. Yeah, last year was an off year for the offense, but it was still pretty damn good. And that's taking everything into consideration. Dropped passes by the receivers and Brooks' fumbles.
Deuce is going to make the running game one of the best in the league. There's little doubt about that. Aaron Brooks is going to get his too. He's done it every year. Just don't need the fumbles. Ernie Conwell and Boo are way above average. They'll play a big part in the offense. Joe Horn is going to be Joe Horn. If Donte' stays healty (and so far, so good) he's going to make a lot of big plays. He always has!! Pathon looks better than I've ever seen him. (for those of you who wrote him off. ;) ) If anyone is down on the offense. I woudn't be. |

Billy, what last night\'s game indicated is the following:
(1) If our starting OTs have trouble, we\'ll have trouble - even with Duece. (2) Our WR cannot catch - they need better focus. Sure it\'s preseason, but help a guy out - Brooks was taking shots and still putting it in their hands. and (3) AB must remain healthy - Bouman just looks bad, and JT needs more practice. Otherwise, I agree. |

The dropped passes have me real concerned. Still just ONE game though. We\'ll see. No need jumping the gun. And yes, I know they did it last year. If AB get\'s hurt and is out for any length of time....we\'re screwed.. |

Nathan Black made a great catch. As did Kerwin Cook. The WRs as a group didn\'t look bad, but when the QBs are having trouble getting time to throw and actually get the ball to them, they\'ve got to catch it.
The whole team needs to work on catching. There were a couple interceptions that were very catchable but dropped. |

I agree with you Scotty, way too many passes being dropped. Looks like these guys need to join Brooks in the DON\'T DROP THE BALL CLASS. I really like Black and I still think he will make the top six.
I agree with you too Gumbo, if Brooks gets hurt we can kiss the season goodbye, although I think JT could step in maybe surprise me. I don\'t think Bouman could. I know some of you will hate this, but if we did\'nt allow the one interception return for a touchdown, we would have won. What wins games = BIG PLAY\'S!!! |

Black dropped a gimme from JT late in the fourth. In fact, I\'m pretty sure there isn\'t a WR that didn\'t drop the ball at least once - except D. Lewis, who would have probably droped one if he hadn\'t been gooned by Joey Thomas in the endzone.
I thought on the whole they didn\'t look bad, but that is only because they ran good routes, got some separation, and show A LOT of speed. They have no hands as a unit right now; Stallworth looked the best in that department IMO. |

there is a lot of \"ifs\" surrounding our offense. example, \"if\" stallworth stays healthy, \"if\" the line stays healthy, \"if\" aaron doesn\'t fumble..... no one builds a house and says it\'ll be a good house only \"if\" the foundation will hold up. get my drift? we don\'t have a reliable every game, all game offense.... this is just the facts that we\'ll have to weather through the season
