We have a lot to be thankful for.
Yes I know we're having a terrible season, so much turmoil and so many hurdles for our Saints this year. But heres a few reasons we should be thankful and look ahead to next year.
1. We are not the Jets. They don't have a QB, they played a terrible game tonite. And they haven't really done much since Namath was there. 2. We are not the Browns. They lost their team, only to watch it go win a SB for another city under a new name. Their replacement has been a model of futility for years, although they seem to be on the upswing. 3.We are not the Raiders. A once proud franchise mired in the bad decisions of an owner with no patience. Multiple 10 loss seasons with no apparent sense of direction. 4.We are not the Eagles, the Jaguars, the Dolphins, the Chiefs, and so forth. You can see where I'm headed with this. We have a great QB, lots of weapons, a defense thats hopefully improving and next year we'll have our headcoach back. So while the present sucks, the future is bright for our Saints. |

Re: We have a lot to be thankful for.
I'll take that future, but it cannot include names like
- Scott Shanle - Will Herring - Will Smith - Sedrick Ellis And you gotta..... get something out of Chamberlain Vilma Romeus or cut them loose too! Trade Harper for DRC..... take a few chances Sign Jake Long Sign Brett Grimes Sign Micheal Johnson Sign Glenn Dorsey If your gonna spend big money only spend it on Dashon Golston And find your #99 Barkevious Mingo or Dion Jordan |

Re: We have a lot to be thankful for.
I agree pumpkindriver.
Maybe add Saints being in a small market has advantages too. To hear the NFL Network, and esp. ESPN talk about the Jets lost was really bad. Steve Young and the other guy really downded about the Jets. They hardly said anything about the Titans winning. The big story is downing Mark Sanchez. Other teams lose and the no one talks about a team and qb like they did. Add to your list if the Saints can and they can and they will win the next two and call 2012 an 8-8 year, that will A-Ok and Merry Christmas!!! |

Re: We have a lot to be thankful for.
Well, lets see...
we still have a team. we can still afford our tickets. there's no PSL scam going on here. we have the best QB in football. we might get payton back. if we dont, joe vitt isnt so bad... we have the most talent on offense i've ever seen. except for the line.... we found 2 players on defense sunday who dont suck. we'll probably have a full house next year. we'll still have a live brass band in the streets or two on gamedays. there are more restaurants now than ive ever seen--- including this one on Decatur with a balcony and a view of the river. there are new street cars and the st charles line will be all fixed up. i got some new magnetic fleur de lis for the vehicle. whoop... sorry... got carried away.... |

And most importantly, we are not Falcon fans, which would be the worst.

Re: We have a lot to be thankful for.
We have a team loaded with talent. We only need a few key additions, a few restructured contracts and our Head Coach back and we're Superbowl favorites... again.

Re: We have a lot to be thankful for.
Can we get an Amen. So much to be thankful for, I agree. Plus, we have a pretty damn informative Black and Gold brotherhood. Ya know, I'm not very smart with words, so I look forward to reading what our group has to say. Thankful indeed.
