Before the Madness begins and let me forewarn it's 100% madness , let's take into account what Superbowl Teams have in common.

* A team that is peaking talent and age wise ... There is a special time when players and teams have a glow to them. i e ... 49'ers. For whatever reason , things flow their way , They are in the heat of their prime ,a balance struck between young stud and Savy Veteran. Kind of funny I got into an argument with a buddy of mine who's a cowboys fan and I was explaining to him how Romo will never win a ring. Not because of his Talents or lack thereof but because he's wasted several teams that were peaking at the right time. From the Julius Jones Era to Marions to Felix now Murrays , they had some bonafide teams. Now he's with a group of toddlers so to speak and the chem is all off. Like I said the right timing is everything. They were primed oh well. Give drew that level of talent and it'd be ugly. ( Just a thought )

* Defense : A team that is Superbowl Bound has a good enough defense. Whether that be giving up a ton of yards but very little points or giving up a ton of points then cashing in on a bunch of takeaways ( Our 09 Model ) A game changing performance would be neccessary game in and out to take one all the way. ( Tracy Porter anybody ? ) I still don't know how we let that man walk.

QB : Flat out theres no way around it. Your field general has to be lights out on fire. Comprende ? Eli , Brees , Rodgers , Brady ( I don't have to go into further detail )

Now with this being said here is my wild and crazy proposition.

Trade Drew Brees for Cam Newton.

Why ??? NOOO !!!

Just a Second Let me Explain here.

The Panthers have a Veteran Team just not a Vet QB. IMO this is one of the most explosive teams period. Drew would greatly benefit from the zone that they are already in being that they are in that perfect zone in their careers.
He'd have a decent defense and we all know that's all he needs. Anything this man touches becomes a weapon and Steve Smith is already a Missile.
Let me explain though why it wouldn't work for Cam. By the time this guy hits his stride 4th or 5th Year ( Coaching Changes greatly harm young players ) the veteran Talent around him will be falling apart or retired. Thus wasting another Athletic QB. The panthers Age tells a tale of a team that's ready to win now. The Panther Salary Cap could easily manage Drew. The Panthers also have the best or one of the best offensive lines when healthy.
The last thing Drew Needs is more time to hurt your Db's feelings.

Now what do we get out of it ? Cam Newton and Sean Payton. We are young band of players. Think about it ... Graham , Moore , Ingram , Jordan , with the just right amount of Vets. Plus were going to go for youth in key positions in this years draft. We will be a younger team. I think SP would not only maximize On Cams talent and ability , but get him to a new gear. Almost Auburn like numbers. Think about RGIII and Shanahan , Now dare to Imagine Cam Newton and Sean Payton. Naturally we would run the Ball which means that other heisman winning guy would actually get some carries. Stats don't lie either , when we run the ball our defense is lights out as well. Then lastly the Primed thing. Imagine a Team thats 5 years away from being in their prime but can play like it now with Sean Payton on the Sticks ? I can't make this up people.


There you have it . Drew gets his 4 Years of Primed Vets , An offensive Line

We Get 2 Heisman winners and Sean Payton. And A Team to be Feared for at least a Decade to come.

I don't like it and it is NOT logical!

If all the Saints need is a younger QB, why not trade Brees for Sanchez or Tebow?

The defense is learning a new scheme and we are finally seeing the results of it.

When we get Payton back next year, there will be changes made in the Saints roster, and the Saints will be ready to go back to the Super Bowl!

Except for the gender, I agree with Tommy Lee Jones!

Why trade for 2 busts ? Cam Is Legit and worlds better than Tebow or Sanchez maybe even put together he is still better.

Newtons attitude stinks,he has talent but a huge ego that needs him to be centre stage all the time.Drew still has time here,if we have another season like this one next year then I would say it maybe time to rebuild the team and a trade could be beneficial to all parties but Newton in a black and gold jersey(shudders)
