Mickles: Saints defense flashes its potential

Can't wait to see how good these guys will be in 2013.

I'm glad they played a great game. However it was against Tampa Bay, this is also the same team that gave up 50 points the week before. I like the direction but I'm still not satisfied... if that makes sense?

I'd hardly blame 50 points on our defense last week.

I do feel better about them as we wind down the season. There is some optimism about these guys now.

see what happens when we tackle properly though

watch the bucs game again, there was hardly any leaky yardage, the first player there often made the tackle

it was fun to watch

Some people are playing for a job, because some haven't had this effort all year...

As far as Spags system, and I like the guy, you don't put in a system and look for guys, you do what Payton did - take the guys you have and let your system evolve around them...
