Re: Peterson , Fitzgerald question ...
Barry Sanders was the best I've ever seen...
Emmett was a good back at an opportune time... The only back that ran as hard as Sanders was Walter Payton... After this season, Adrian Peterson is now in that group... |

Three Things When You Watch This Video...
First, keep the context in mind that these highlights are against HOF members, or likely ones, on dominant teams, including that great Bills squad that made four Superbowls... Second, many of his first moves are made with defenders already in the backfield... Third, want to talk class, watch when he scores how he hands the ball to the referee as he goes about his business... |

Re: Peterson , Fitzgerald question ...
Perhaps one of his best moves and it's against ROD WOODSON!!!
This is what is known as an ankle breaker, and you'll see why... I was truly depressed watching this guy and knowing he was not a Saint... |
Re: Peterson , Fitzgerald question ...
Players generally sign for the money these days. Fitz didnt have to stay with the cards. I still suspect Barry Sanders retired more out of concerns for his personal long term health than money or being on a losing team, after watching too many players such as Earl Campbell get permanently gimped.
I agree that Emmitt has never ever been one of the greats in my eyes, due to the talent around him in the pre-salary cap days. Great player, yet not one of the true GOATS. Same goes for Montana and Aikman. Yep, I said it |

I think the deciding factor in the debate is that Barry did more with less. Had Sanders played during that era for a team like Dallas, Denver, SFran, NYG, Washington, Green Bay, New England, Pittsburgh or even Buffalo/San Diego, teams that made SuperBowl runs, he undoubtedly would have stayed in the league past 10 seasons, broken Walter Payton's rushing record and amassed for more yardage than Emmitt Smith. ... the debate will rage on for eternity,. |
