Well we did pick Sedrick Ellis with the 8th pick and we was supposed to be an impact player and look how well that turned out.

One of the best draft picks we ever had was pick number 23 so I think we can find a good pick at 17.

Emmit Smith, Nate Solder, DJ Williams, Damian Woody were all picked at 17 just to mention a few.

combine and scouting hype will push some players higher than they should be. Lets hope a solid player drops into our lap.

nice thing about 15 - 20 they are historical high pick range traded.

I think we will be sitting ok either way.

It is the saints historical injury picks in the mid round that worries me

The good news is the team is only a handful of players away from a top 15 defense. And that's all we need to make another SB run.
