Prove your Football IQ !
I posted a thread a while back asking everyone to give me the teams that make the biggest jump and the biggest dropoff.
Now, here's another chance to prove your football IQ. :o 1. What relatively unknown Saints' player will make the biggest improvement? 2. What Saints' player will be the biggest disappointment? 3. Which rookie will have the biggest impact? 4. What ranking will the defense end up with? 5. What ranking will the offense end up with? Note: Everything you say can and will be held against you next year. We will dig up these posts and point out just how wrong you were... ;) So, think about these before you answer !!! :P |

Prove your Football IQ !
Ok Gumbo, here goes:
1. Monte Montgomery a good nickel who will surprise everyone this season. 2. Darren Howard - too much pressure for more money. 3. Will Smith - a DE and Buck position, IMO 10 sacks at least. 4. 10 - Hell of an improvement all around. 5. 8 - I still think they will struggle at times, but always have the capability to strike anytime. |

1. What relatively unknown Saints\' player will make the biggest improvement?
BARRING CATASTROPHIC INJURIES... A. Fahkir Brown (Because Ambrose will be 3rd or 4th by week 3) B. Jason Craft (just in case its not Brown) C. James Allen (because he has no other choice) D. Orlando Ruff (will spell the rookie admirably) 2. What Saints\' player will be the biggest disappointment? A. Ashley Ambrose (can I list him since he\'s already the biggest disappointment) B. Joe Horn (on the downslide, already dropping passes) C. Aaron Brooks (because he could throw 40 TD\'s and 3 INT\'s and people would still hate him) 3. Which rookie will have the biggest impact? BARRING CATASTROPHIC INJURIES... A. Will Smith (will be the most dominant) B. Courtney Watson (will be the most necessary) 4. What ranking will the defense end up with? BARRING CATASTROPHIC INJURIES LIKE LAST YEAR... I\'d say about 12-17th I\'ll go with 15th overall, we have a lot of games that look to be shootouts. 5. What ranking will the offense end up with? BARRING CATASTROPHIC INJURIES (or one in particular)... I\'d say 10th. Plus or minus 2 slots |

1. This Green kid whose been playing DT. (I\'d never heard of him until a month ago, and he\'s playing first team ahead of Sully. I guess, technically this isn\'t \"improvement\" but this guy deserves a nod.)
2. Boo Williams (even if he is good, he won\'t live up to the hype he\'s been given this year - don\'t get me wrong, I like him, I think he\'ll be good, but he\'s barely started and people are calling for a pro-bowl) 3. C. Watson (W. Smith won\'t get enough reps, but man did he look impressive the other night) 4. 16th (not enough cohesion yet, they\'ll struggle early but come on toward the end - mark my words Swoon people) 5. 9th (this will go up if our WRs get some hands and the interior of our OL learns drive block) |

JT O\'Sullivan, will establish himself as the definite #2 man. 2. What Saints\' player will be the biggest disappointment? The smart pick here is Stallworth, if he doesn\'t shine soon, \"draft bust\" will become a common description. My gut tells me that Jonathan Sullivan will be the biggest disappointment, I don\'t think he\'s going to be the full time starter on the D-line. 3. Which rookie will have the biggest impact? Karney, people will be saying \"T-Rex who?\" and the front office will look like FB geniuses. 4. What ranking will the defense end up with? Middle 3rd? I hope. Somewhere around 17 plus or minus 2. 5. What ranking will the offense end up with? All depends on Brooks. If he really is the poo, then top 3rd, like 8-10. [Edited on 25/8/2004 by BrooksMustGo] |
