Say Carmichael would get hired by the Bears and Doug Marrone for another team. Would people start talking about the Sean Payton coaching tree or would it be considered just a branch of the Parcells tree?

Depends if they're successful or not. If they win, you could consider them as part of the Payton branch. If they lose, you just consider them as a part of the Parcell's tree that withered and died. It's a win-win,

I don't think Carmichael gets the job anyway.

I just realized I forgot about Dennis Allen. So Allen and now Marrone, thats guys from Payton's staff as HC's in the NFL. And we have CJ at Tulane and Carmichael aleast getting interviews. I would say the tree is growing.
