Ricky Williams making a comeback?
yeah but this only means that he won\'t be able to play until next year anyway. He has 2 things going against him... 1. Suspension for drugs, failing 3 test, one year suspension. 2. One he put in his papers for retirement, he can not play that year. I can see appealing but only may get a break from the retirement clause but not the drugs one.

Ricky Williams making a comeback?
He may be high as a kite, but he\'s not stupid...at least not entirely. CLEARLY he recognizes that having to return approximately 8 MILLION dollars might put a dent in his \"travel the world in search of truth\" plans.

Ricky Williams making a comeback?
[from kffl.com]
Continuing an ongoing storyline, the Miami Herald reports former Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams said he did indeed contact Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt recently, doing so on the request of his agent Leigh Steinberg. Williams, however, said he has no plans of returning to the team any time soon. While he hasn\'t completely ruled out a return, he made it clear \"its not in my best interests to play football right now\" due to the current state of the coaching staff and his contract. Furthermore, Williams is facing a suspension from the NFL for violation of their substance abuse policy. Williams said the Dolphins basically forced a conversation with him by sending him a letter demanding repayment of $8.6 million by Monday, Aug. 30. He ain\'t coming back. Speculation will die down once the season begins and someone will dig it up again in the off-season. |
