I think that Drew may have Injured his shoulder this year slightly yet enough to see a difference in the zip in his throws.

For example , almost every interception throw this season was the good old cock back and dump long to Henderson type play in which this season the ball just fell short and into the defenders range.

I looked at some of his earlier work in the Saints offense 3 or 4 seasons ago and you can see a noticable UMFF on the ball he had then and doesn't seem to have now. The Ball just floated above everyones heads.

He is still a HOF and my favorite QB of all time , but I did notice a difference.

There were a couple of games when I thought his passes didn't seem to a lot of zip on them. Then the next game it would be back. Maybe there was some minor injury or maybe it was fatigue. In the Atlanta game the ints, just looked like mental errors to me.

A lack of 'zip' or armstrength doesn't neccesarily have to be because of a shoulder or arm injury, it can b soemthig completely different that still affects the throwing motion, a bum knee or ankle or what not.

I think there's some validity to the 'injury' speculation, but factoring in the stress and the mental fatigue of going through a season without your H/C makes me agree with Boutte that if there is an injury, it's minor.

might of been a leg injury that happened in the Carolina game.

Remember that happened in 2010 season to and that offense never really all came out of the jar like we were using to seeing.

I don't think as fan we should act like the media and start rumors about our own team. I don't see Drew even admitting his arm is getting weak unless it just 100% breaks on him. Hindsight now tells us the we were nowheres ready for this season and the fall out of the bounty program.
I don't think his arm is weak... I just think he had several bad games, nothing more.

They do complete evaluations on each player before every season and before and after each required offseason session if the coaches notice anything out of the ordinary. If there was an injury, my bet is that they will find it if it doesn't heal.

that said, mental problems don't heal as fast as physical, and this season was all mental.

Drew has always slightly underthrown receivers deep.

I didn't really notice anything different this year.

But who knows? This staff has shown a tendency to hide injury news from the media before.

Which scares me as he is getting older, armstrength deteriorates with increasing age and he never had a cannon to start with. Don't get me wrong, he gets the job done but what I do wonder is if that will continue.
