Agreed, but I think that the change to a base 3-4 really was the thing that made Spags "unneeded" since he is firmly a 4-3 guy. Damn, I really would've liked to see Spags given another chance with SP leading the team, but I guess it wasn't to be. Interestingly, Andre Curtis, who Spags also brought along with him from St. Louis, continues on the coaching staff as the assistant secondary coach. Regardless of how things went down, I do appreciate Spags signing with the Saints when he did, and all that he did this season under very trying conditions - I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. ![]() |
