Kindle Anyone
There was once a time when Sergio Kindle was a promising pass-rush prospect, who seemed to fall into a perfect situation.
But the fall down the stairs prior to his rookie training seems to have derailed his career, and now he can’t seem to latch on. After the Ravens cut him from the practice squad recently, he worked out for the Giants but wasn’t signed, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. The former second-round pick suffered a fractured skull and hearing loss after his 2010 accident, and has never showed the same kind of burst he showed in college. The Ravens referred to their parting as “mutually agreed upon,” and coach John Harbaugh said he wishes Kindle the best. “He and I have gotten real close,” Harbaugh said at the time. “I feel some responsibility for him and really want to see him do well. I really think he has a chance to be good in this league. I’ll be there to support him and do whatever we can to help him. He’s hoping for an opportunity somewhere where he can maybe take the next step.” Sergio Kindle looking for work, works out for Giants | ProFootballTalk Maybe he got healthy ...just how long does it take to recover from a cracked skull? Is he going to be a concussion machine? | |

Re: Kindle Anyone
It couldn't hurt. It won't cost much. Why not bring him in for a look.

Re: Kindle Anyone
What's the harm in bringing him in for a look?!
Plenty, I say. There's simply no reason to bring in every cast away or feel-good story player from other teams as it does take away resources that could be spent much more productively. For example, Kindle would have to be flown in and given accommodations during his stay, and some staff members would have to spend time evaluating the said person. So, short answer: no. |
