Are New Orleans Saints interested in Romeo Crennel?
1 Attachment(s)
The New Orleans Saints are interested in former Kansas City Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel as a candidate to replace fired defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday and later confirmed by ProFootballTalk.
Crennel has not had much success as a head coach, but he's repeatedly proven himself an elite coordinator. He won three world championships with the New England Patriots and his work with the Chiefs' defense earned him a promotion when Todd Haley was fired in 2011. Eric Mangini also is reportedly up for the job, but a source told PFT that Crennel is the preferred choice. Are New Orleans Saints interested in Romeo Crennel? - NFL.com |
Re: Are New Orleans Saints interested in Romeo Crennel?
I think he's the ideal choice to install the 3-4 for us, then let some young hot shot take over in a few years.

Re: Are New Orleans Saints interested in Romeo Crennel?
This would be a great move
The chiefs are sending 6 defensive players to the pro bowl this year despite only winning 2 games mostly due to Crennels defensive coaching I think crennel would be the perfect guy to start off our transition to a 3-4 D |
