This "Bounty-Gate" garbage against the team, that cost us our coach for a year and a few players for an x-number of games, was nothing more than a way for the Commissioner, Mr. Roger Goodell, to cover his ass from former players concerning player safety and lingering post-football injuries.

Secondly, the timing. If this "Bounty" thing was going on during the Saints' Super Bowl run in 2009 (where players get paid extra for injuring certain players), then why did the NFL waited three years, 25,000 sheets of paper and maybe the risk of a player's career (or life) ends on the field, to get this team? Not only that, where were the yellow flags during those games and, if they suspected it was going on, why didn't they nip it in the bud then?

Lastly, the Super Bowl is in the Mercedes Benz Superdome (the Saints' HOME stadium). I think that getting the Saints for the "Bounty-Gate" thing was necessary, because, if they were to make it to the SB and become the first SB "HOME" team, it wouldn't be as big a draw like it would for other teams and it would hurt the league financially, because the team is local and endorsements maybe harder for them to get because of where they ranked in popularity.

Remember when nobody gave a damn about the New England Patriots until Tom Brady took over and, all of a sudden, they are "America's New Team"? Nobody gave 2 1/2 "EFFS" about the Saints, from 1967, "Big Ben", "1-15", The Bags (Sad Sacks), "Coulda-Woulda-Shoulda", "Dumbo", "Katrina", up to and after winning SB XLIV....and they still don't, except for the locals!!!! I remember many fans of "Murrka's Team" were rooting against the Saints in the NFC Title Game. The team they were rooting for to beat us was the same team that blew them out of the playoffs: Minnesota. Coming from where I'm from, THAT IS AN ABSOLUTE NO-NO!!!! YOU DON'T ROOT FOR A TEAM THAT EMBARRASSED YOUR @$$ OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS!!!! Falcons fans HATE us! That should be expected. And the Saints have been the NFL's doormats for years.

Why now the New Orleans Saints, this lowly team, all of a sudden become the NFL's version of the New York Yankees (aka "THE EVIL EMPIRE") when the team's resume shows otherwise? Sure, you'll see "Cowboys Suck" on every post (even on the Facebook Golf page), but I know there's a hatred for the Black and Gold Nation. From fans of the Falcons, Buccaneers and Panthers, it's expected!!!!

A good measuring stick to see what this is all about is looking at the situation with Ray Lewis. The NFL said that investigation has been going on 2 years. 2 years, for one player and the odor of evidence is much, much stronger, certainly enough to act upon. Phone records, texts, shipments to his houses. Then while the investigation is ongoing RG puts the man on a pedestal as a model player with all these serious allegations against him that is costing the NFL time and resources for 2 years. What a joke.
