He'll likely be better in a 3-4 than a 4-3.

The biggest concern everyone had from the get go was whether he would be able to adjust to the 4-3. Now he can go back to his roots. Hope he excels.
The key to the whole scheme is having a dominate nose tackle to free up those linebackers. Not that every position isn't important, but this is a must. I'm really counting on Bunkley to be the player he was with Denver in the 3-4. He's not ideal, but he was effective with them. |

I wonder if he'll flip to RDE, and have Hicks man the LDE spot? |

He WILL be better in a 3-4 because his natural position is 3-4 DE. He played in a 3-4 his entire career @ Cal.

I agree that the NT position is the linchpin to running the 34 . Hicks and Jordan will fit
well as DEs. Bunkley needs a backup. The other key to running the 34 is a pass rusher at OLB. I would like for us to trade down and pick up a 2nd rd pick in a very deep defensive draft. NT and rush LB are our greatest needs. IMHO |

Re: Saints DE Cameron Jordan says he won't have a problem switching to 3-4 defense
Cam Jordan will end up doing a lot of the dirty work and like danno said he might not put up huge numbers, but one thing is for sure - he will open up opportunities for other defensive players - mostly the OLB and NT
The players need to make the plays when they are there |
