No offense 08 but with all the "Saints are gonna suck because..." posts there has to be a "Saints will do well because..." post.

After allowing 119 points in their first four games a year ago, the Saints gave up just 207 in the final 12 contests. Points allowed were also down in the first three exhibition games when the starters were on the field as they allowed just one touchdown.

There's been a lot of noise about the Saints first three draft picks and I think that the Saints will do well against your boys (the Panthers o-line is decimated and will not sneak up on any one this year).
The Bucs are rebuilding and the Falcons are retooling.

Barring any weird setbacks like players stealing other players money, players sleeping with other players wives, or players hiding behind helmets afraid of the media, the Saints will do well.

The D-line looks good, the O-line looks good, the receivers look good, the running back looks awesome, and the quarterback looks good.

BY THE NUMBERS
77 -- Touchdown passes in 2001-03 for quarterback Aaron Brooks, the highest three-year total in club history. Jim Everett had 60 from 1994-96.

They'll be fine.

Just ignore the negativity and it will go away.

OK your right it won\'t.

Some people are simply always wrong and there\'s nothing you can do about it.

Wrong about what? Team record, offensive production, defense rank, special teams play...??? You mean like that kind of wrong?

You\'re gettin\' a little ornery Danno

Hey, Danno, Bama should at least beat Utah State this weekend! I\'m positive about that.

(Don\'t ask me about Ole Miss on the 11th, though.) :P

I agree with the Sunshiners. Right now is the time to be positive. I\'ll remain positive if we have a good showing against the Hawks. Losing is bad, but losing early in the season to a very good team while not falling apart due to lack discipline, planning, concentration, etc. is tolerable.

Happy, Happy!! Joy, Joy!!

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the asss-whoopin Franchonie and Texas A&M suffered last night.
I\'m worried about Bama. They are a lot like USM now. They have SEC quality starters, but they\'re only about 1 deep. A few injuries here and there and we\'re toast. If we stay healthy we can play with just about anybody though.

I think the West will shake out like this...
1-LSU
2T-Ole Miss
2T-Auburn
4-Alabama
5-Miss St
6-Ark

Can\'t stand Fran. I was a Utah fan for the first time in my life last night. Go Unics... I mean Utes!

I have a feeling about Bama this year. The schedule\'s soft, especially here at the beginning of the season. They have time to get their feet under \'em this year. I\'m thinking they may sneak in at third in the West. You\'re givin\' Ole Miss a whole lotta credit.

Have you picked up a copy of Rammer Jammer yet? I checked out one yesterday. I haven\'t started it yet. I\'ll let you know what I think.

Might be at the Western Carolina game. A friend\'s got some free tix. There\'s this really cute bartender at the Houndstooth I can\'t wait to see again. :P :heartpump: :P

Hope Bama has a good year. I lived in Bham for about 4 years and the fan\'s are rabid like we are for the Saint\'s.

LSU tonight on ESPN right...at 6pm? Word is their defense could be every bit as good as last year\'s. I\'m stoked. Shouldn\'t have much trouble finding the NATIONAL CHAMPS on TV this year!
