Why did thesaints hire a coach wrhose never been above the top 10 coaches in the league. 13th raked defense, really? Wasn't their an option that atleast finished in the top 10?

Because he was with the Cleveland Browns and the Oakland Raiders for the majority of his coordinator days.

His defense was also ranked 5th in the NFL before Dallas was devestated by injuries, and they still finished mid-pack.

Those kind of guys rarely get fired, even less often move laterally and usually move up.

Its ok he'll be fired after wasting 2 more years, and maybe costing us a ring.

I waiting for the next announcement that Shanle is our defensive captain.
