I am not a huge fan of the move...but it is not because of his coaching ability it is solely based on his demeanor. To counter that he is with the correct team because Sean is not going to tolerate shenanigans and will temper him. I just hope Ryan is able to accept the scoldings and stay focused on his job.

We all hope and agree it would be very difficult to be any worse than last year on D and as I said it really has nothing to do with his coaching ability, last years Cowboys were probably the most talent he has had to work with and from his first year with the Cowboys to his final year I think they held 14th overall rank...no gains

No Sean Lee, no Bruce Carter, no Jay Ratliff. Those are 3 very good defenders he lost for most of the season. And his defense slipped from 5th to 19th which was understandable, and the team still never lost a game by more than 6 points even with an offense that had turnovers over like it was made by Pillsbury.

I don't have high hopes for this season defensively, but I think we can be top 15 by next year under him.
