This has been killing me for weeks now. I had originally thought this was due to injuries on the line but that is no longer the situation. I am talking about the obvious change in the saints offensive philosophy from the beginning of the year to now.

The saints started the year throwing the ball up the feild and pressing the defenses with a wide open attack. They were throwing on 1st down and getting in short yardage situations which only put more pressure on the defense. The offense then was pass first and then run. The passing game was opening up the running game insteaed of the opposite. Everyone was clicking!

Now and since the week off they have gone to a run game. They now run on 1st down and get caught in long yardage situations. Heck, now they are runnnig on 2nd and long. Here the saints have the most potent aerial attack they have ever had and it looks like carl smith has moved back to town. It's ridiculous!

The saints offense has shown they thrive on the wide open game. Look at the most impressive drive in the vikings game. This is the drive where Deuce's run was called back by a holding call. Deuce was out of the game to catch his breath and the offense went to an air attack. Suddenly, Brooks had time to throw -- the receivrs were finding the seams --- and the offense was picking up 15 yds at a time. The vikings defense could not stop them. WHY, WHY, WHY is that not the offense this team runs all game long or until they at least have the opponent buried by 3 TD's.

It appears to me this team is being sold out by its coaching staff. They have succeeded in out coaching themselves.
