Re: Saints Cap Breakdown
we fell into the "Super Bowl" wage inflation trap. Just because the team won a Super Bowl doesn't mean everyone's an all-pro. You look at New England, and they are nearly 20 mill under the cap every year and they attract the best talent and never over pay. Loomis may not be the genius everyone says he is if he constantly overpays for overrated players.

Re: Saints Cap Breakdown
Btw: we're currently 14 million over the cap, and we still haven't re-signed theses guys listed below.
Signing any of them will add to that 14 million... OT Jermon Bushrod UFA QB Chase Daniel RFA OC Brian De La Puente RFA WR Devery Henderson UFA RB Chris Ivory RFA OT William Robinson UFA WR Courtney Roby UFA DT Sedrick Ellis UFA DE Junior Galette RFA CB Nick Hixon RFA LB Ramon Humber UFA CB Elbert Mack UFA DE Turk McBride UFA DE Swanson Miller UFA LB Scott Shanle UFA |

1. Not many at all. We have one of the worst situations 2. We have serious issues. Like we can only play one side of the ball which fundamentally means the Saints aint all that, Brees or no Brees. 3. I don't give a damn about the other teams. Except, except, Tampa Bay, Miami, Indianapolis, Cleveland and Cincinnati who could really mess with every other teams by offering a couple of key players "silly" money. |
Re: Saints Cap Breakdown
14 million over the cap but let's see what free agents we can sign?
