New Orleans Saints could drop several players from their draft boards

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It's not like Jordan will be throwing passes if he's here. In the grand scheme of things, his torn labrum isn't that big of a deal....

Hunt is a workout warrior. now to take this kid as a project is cool. he is very raw. Upside in the bottom of the second or top of the third? i might make the move

If your making this move we definitely should drop down...... But then we would still need an olb for that side......

Papz, don't know if you played football, but a defensive end uses moves like the "Rip" Move, "Swim" Move, "Up and Under" Move and the labrum that is torn will be noticed and will limit the speed/power effectiveness of those moves...

Remember Brother, in the 3-4 the defensive ends and nose tackle sacrifice themselves so the linebackers can select their one gap and attack...
xan likes this.

I was thinking about that when I typed it. Can you name a single player that's not a quarterback that had to end his career because of a torn labrum? Some players don't even require surgery to heal this ailment. Jordan is also a OLB, not a DE. The guy is going to be fine. If he winds up busting, it's not going to be the result of his shoulder.

You think Jordan is fast enough to play OLB (ie coverage assingments)?
