Saints super bowl bound?
here is a link from Len Pasquarelli
By Len Pasquarelli ESPN.com Everybody pretty much knows the hope springs eternal statistics, numbers from the past half-dozen NFL seasons, a recent history coaches and general managers recite by rote to convince even the shabbiest of rosters that the playoffs are a realistic possibility at the outset of any campaign. Over the last six years, seven of the 12 teams that advanced to the Super Bowl were at .500 or below in the season preceding their championship game appearance, and eight did not qualify for the playoffs at all. Of the past six Super Bowl champions, four failed to participate in the postseason the year before claiming the Vince Lombardi trophy, and the two others were coming off campaigns in which they had been only wild-card teams. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/previe...len&id=1875674 [Edited on 9/6/2004 by Halo] |

Saints super bowl bound?
Len has jinxed us. I don\'t know, I think Deuce said it best, until we can stop being \"up\" one week (like we were for the first game of preseason) and then \"down\" the next (like the following game of preseason) we aren\'t going to do it. Simply put, many other coaches in the NFL could take this talent to the Super Bowl, the question is \"is Jim Haslett a head coach or a great assistant?\" We will know soon.

Wow, pass the jelly thinks we wil be the one! I guess if you looked at the trends in the NFL he\'s kinda right. But I don\'t know, after this preseason, I don\'t fell very confident about the team. Too many mysteries and I\'m worred Seattle will blow us out early. We have a big test coming this week.
