I seem to remember a lot of people on this Forum gnashing their teeth and wringing their hands like a bleeding heart liberal because Brees wanted his contract structured a certain way.

Sure there is a lesson. Peyton Manning gets what he wants and makes the playoffs.

Considering Drew played for the Saints for peanuts from 2006 to 2010, allowing the front office to front load the team, I don't see this as very courageous from Brady.

If memory serves, wasn't Brady and Manning in a dual for "highest paid" in the NFL not too long ago?

Considering its been 10 years since the Pats WON the superbowl (and yes, big difference between Champ Game, going to SB and WINNING the SB)....

I'd like to see how much money Brady has made, overall, in his career compared to Drew accounting for inflation, contract trends etc. I'd bet Brady has pocketed wayyyy more....

She makes over $40 million per year. Successful models, actors and corporate CEO's all make far more than the highest paid professional athletes.

I just read that the restructured Brady deal increased his guaranteed pay from $30 million to $57 million including a $30 million signing bonus. He didn't do this out of the kindness of his heart. It also includes $24 million injury guarantee.
