Gavin Escobar is a tight end from San Diego state. He hasn't seen a ton of playing time in college, because the knock against him is that he tends to avoid contact.

However, let's look at his measurables:

Height 6'6"
Weight 254 lbs
Arm Length 33 5/8"

Nfl.com lists him as a great and effortless catcher. If he could be trained up a bit, he would be an awesome complement to Jimmy Graham in double tight end sets. Like Graham, he is a former basketball player. He'll also need to be trained how to block. I saw one of the mock drafts had him going in the fourth or fifth round. Perhaps we could pick him up in the draft?

Perhaps Graham/Escobar could be the new Gronkowski/Hernandez.
