No I think Daniel will be great. Missouri is doing nothing since Daniel or Gabbert left. Gabbert picked up notes from Daniel and kept Mo together at least for a couple seasons but his 4-4 record in 09 has a lot to do with beating Oklahoma without Bradford and they were mailing it in after he got hurt except for against their in-state rival. I just think Daniel can adapt better and he's sat behind a great qb(even a ok qb is good enough as Brady watched Bledsoe).

I question many qbs starting right away. The NFL is waiting for Manning to retire where there will be one less elite qb for these new wave of starters to have serious chances at rings. Considering the teams Favre beat in 07, would Rodgers have been able to do that? That took more than skill. Compared to him winning in his third year as a starter after sitting on the bench. It still took Flacco five years.

Only problem is I think Payton runs one of the most complicated offenses in the league. Brees's brain is what makes that machine run. I could never see someone like Colin Kaepernik running this O.

Brees's accuracy is the real aspect that makes him stand apart with this offense.

Talking about Brees replacement now is like talking about tarding in the 2011 $100 Million dollar sports car you JUST BOUGHT.

It's not the time nor am I worried. Seems other teams are doing well without Brees/Manning/Brady

At this point Daniels is the best replacement. He's been in the system for awhile and has been able to work with Brees. If it turns out its not him, I'd love to pick up Aaron Murray next year if possible. Very cerebral and Brees like IMO.

Chase Daniel is a back up. He should never start for anybody, let alone replace Drew Brees. I rather take w chance with Drew grooming JaMarcus Russell. The Saints will draft a QB eventually...or free agency.

We are 5 years or 1 play away from needing a replacement for Drew.

If Chase were that man (a starter in the NFL), my gut tells me someone would have scooped him by now.

I don't see how anyone can count Chase out.
Because there is that much NFL footage of him for any of you to make that determination...

Besides some of these post proves its off season. We just spent $100 on one of the best QB's and peopel are already talking about his replacement... Some of you guys are as bad as ESPN
