Hell and no. He played for ND. They see no real competition. When they finally did, (SEC Alabama), he folded.

Re: Do we have a need for Te'o
We have zero need for an ILB. Aside from that, Te'o is horrible and will not be a 1st round pick. It has nothing to do with his man/girlfriend. He just plain isn't any good. He can tackle you if you ran at him, but he's not going to chase anyone down. Slow, stiff, pretty good instincts, but not near enough ability.

The glory days of Irish football died a long time ago, despite what they thought they had accomplished last year. Thier schedule was so pathetic, and every team who was supposed to be good on that schedule ended sucking. Aside from Stanford, whom they beat in controversy. Man, I'm really drifting off subject. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: Do we have a need for Te'o
We have Hawthorne and Lofton for ILBer. They look like the starters we need. That and we've still got Vilma for the moment, even though he didn't excel at the 3-4. At OLBer we need someone to take the leadership role and Jr. and Wilson "could" be good players we just don't know.
Besides I think we need to go tackle in the first round either offense or defense. |

Not much interest before but certainly not after watching him bounce off of the Bama backs.

Do we have a need for Te'o. I don't think so.
