If Brady is the pinnacle of QBs, why have the Patriots only managed to win their 3 Super Bowls by a combined 9 points?

Seems to me like the success of the Pats in Super Bowls should go to their kicker!!

IDK, these guys are neck-n-neck even in their personal lives, . Have to give this one to DB, never been a big fan of 'Giselle'.

That's the beauty of Brady, I don't know what it is, he's always been counted out, but he's always there at the end ... so I guess it would be because he wins. The guy just overcomes any/all obstacles, it's really quite impressive, .

If I were in a bar watching a game, which I frequently am , and either one of these guys were down & had the ball with two minutes to go, I'd feel comfortable betting on either. If I had to choose between the two, the only guy I would choose over Brees would be Brady. Brady is "Mr. 4thQtr", though he is getting a little long-in-the-tooth.

It's not that I'm that big Brady-fan, it's just I watched him at Michigan, disliked him, but came to respect him for the sheer gamesmanship & tenacity he displayed in college and the NFL as well ... much like how I loathe Jim Harbaugh (another Michigan-man), but realize he's gonna' bring it on game day.

Got to give the edge to Drew. Eliminate the team achievements and look at when he needs to DO IT it's done. And he gets it done with anybody & everybody as his receivers. Strictly comparing QBs, you'd have to compare Drew with Montana

How do you elminate team achievments from a "team" sport.
All of Drews records have come from assitance from the team.

Even 4th quarter come backs are not the result of 1 man...

Brees is better. If you look at the entire AFC, there have been only five teams in that conference who have done anything. In recent years the first emotional team to play the pats knocked them out. They got good draws in 11, but ravens this year and jets in 10 took them out. Brady's postseason qb rating is also worse than Brees since those three rings. When you play the same teams every year you're eventually gonna get a chance to break through and go. But drawing Jacksonville/San Diego and Denver pre-Peyton/Baltimore who wasnt quite ready had a lot to do with those sb appearances. I'm pretty sure the next time Brady faces Manning, Big Ben, or Rex again in playoffs he will lose. I think when looking back it was pats defense and Viniateri that deserve the most credit for those sb wins except for the one against panthers. Brady worked for that one.

Brady in 10 playoff appearances has 17 wins out of 24 games. And nine of them were in his first three appearances, all sb wins. Thats 8 wins out of 15 appearances, roughly 50%.

Brees in 4 playoff appearances has 5 wins out of 8 games. Its about the same percentage wise. With Brady's total including the sb wins, he has around a 70% success rate. Brees has a 62% success rate.

In this current era Brees has played better in the "big time" games.
