New Numbers March 5th:
NFL Cap for 2013 is $123.9M

Saints active contracts = $127.9m
Dead money = $836k
2012 cap rollover = $2.7 m
Top 51 = 125.8M
Present cap status $126.2m

Approx Delta -$124,318K over <----- We have until March 12th to get this below $123.9m

While we are all breathing a sigh of relief there is still some major hurdling to do.

1. We have to go through the draft.
2. Possibly pick up a few free agents.
3. The Salary Cap is TOTAL salary, this includes practice squad.
4. We want to start the season (September 4th Salary Cap Deadline) NO LESS than 3M below the cap in case of injuries etc...

You will notice the NFL Salary Cap has changed from 123 to 123.9
