Seems to me , that I either read something or heard something that had to do with Dale Carter getting nailed by league officials for having cough syrup in his system .The key ingredient in question was codiene , and that was on the leagues list .

Did anyone else catch that one ???

Seems to me the league goes to far on these matters , these are people too , people who should be able to have a beer on their day off and enjoy life . What is next ??? Illegal substances should be banned during regular season , but legal substances the league needs to keep their noses out of .

Would love to see this list , wonder if addictive pain killers are on this list ?? Ephedrine was banned , was pseudoephedrine banned ?? Hope Dale never gets a cold the Saints will be screwed for the season ...

Seems to me if a player has a prescribed medicine, in his name, even if it is a codeine cough syrup, the league would have no jurisdiction to interfere. However, if it is not prescribed to him, the zero tolerance rule would have to take effect, and he should pay the penalty.

The league in my eyes have over stepped their boundaries on this one . They are following the old association rule . One thing leads to another . Drug use should be banned during regular season , but three beers ????
