And don't forget you've got Cadet, who is not THAT bad, as a diamond in the rough, and he is paid like $2 over rock-bottom league minimum, and happy to get it! Loomis could shake the couch cushions upside down and find a way to pay Cadet. So there's that too. It's really 8.5 for 5 RBs!

Don't you mean 8.5 for 4.5 running backs? Unless you count Cadet a part timer too, then it's 8.5 for 4. Save two mil and let Payton light a fire (and maybe call some different plays for him too) under Ingram instead.
