James Harrison wants to play for Saints?
 

The player rep for free agent OLB James Harrison says his client "would love" to play for the Saints.

Harrison's agent, Bill Parise, hasn't been shy about drumming up interest in his client through the media. He'd reportedly "love" to play for the Patriots, Browns, Ravens and now Saints. New Orleans hasn't made any contact yet, but it would be a fit as the they transition to a 3-4. When healthy, Harrison can still get after the quarterback as he enters his age-35 season.

His hate for Roger Goodell rivals our own sounds like a perfect fit lol. In all seriousness it depends all on the type of contract he wants. At 34 about to be 35 if he is demanding a huge contract then we should and will pass.

I could see his knowledge of the 3-4 help with the transition, but I also can't see any way we could afford him...

I would not mind him also, only if he wants a cheap one maybe two year deal. But this is only talk, it will never happen

He has already made his big contract after that superbowl w against the cards i believe. He has to take a year by year back loaded with the bonuses

Still he'd "love to play for the Patriots" now... along with the fact that he'd "love to play for the Browns" has me questioning his motives - who'd want to play for the Browns if there were alternatives available?!

He'd love to play for anyone that give him a contract.

I would love to get him. Get rid of Harper and Smith, restructure Vilma and get him... I think he would be great at coaching up Martez Wilson and Galette + a pass rushing rookie!

If he wants to play in NO so bad, maybe he'll take a little less. It's a 'win-win', but like FinSaint said, you have to question the motives of a guy who'd also love to play in Cleveland, :lol:.

Motives for playing in Cleveland makes no sense. Now teaming up with the teams that Goddell hates and wrecking havoc on NFL darlings like the Patriots and turning a defense around. THAT would make sense! I think a front 7 with Bunkley as NT, Cam Jordan and Hicks as DE + Lofton, Hawthorne, Galette and Wilson + some draft picks. Doesn´t sound to bad and will help our secondary as well
