What are we to do About the
I think the two draft picks should be :
1. MLB - Either Hayes or Henderson 2. CB - Either Woolfollk or Trufant This is from first glance , without the benefit of combine workouts and Not knowing if Eli is coming out .... If Eli came out I would trade up and get him for sure . |

Thats kinda funny. I agree with you about LB and CB, but the Eli thing caught me as a surprise.
1) With 2 solid young QBs why would we want to bring in yet another young arm to the mix. Not to mention using a valuable 1st rounder on him! Unless he is our future! 2) Trade up? With Byron Leftwitch, Carson Palmer, Chris Simms and Ken Dorsey all coming out as Seniors I think Eli might slip to us in the late first round, but I think only if Jake leaves do we take him. 3) Shaun King, Charlie Batch, Jon Kitna, Jeff Blake, Jake Plummer potential backups to replace Delhomme. So we dont have to pay a high price for a back up QB we take in the first round. Most of these QBs are back ups who could start, but prolly will not get a chance. Kitna being the guy I like the best. He plays for a terrible team and is underated. As for the Eli thing... I would love to see it happen, but with Brooks under contract long term I dont see us trying to replace him eventhough I think it would be a good idea. Just my opinions... |

Y would we trade up to get eli? he is a good qb and will be a star but we would most likely have to give up both first rounders to move up to get him, i think he will go much higher then some of those seniors syco listed

I think we could probably only afford 1 BIG free agent Defender. Brookings would be a great idea.
I would place wagers Delhomme is gone, so pick up a free agent QB who will need a paycheck. We don\'t need one of the big name QB\'s coming out. We need D and we need to keep our current Ofensive players signed. Brooks is young and our future,if we tie up funds on the young guns for offense,we will be seeing the same posts next year as we have this year. |

Eli Manning is a huge question mark in the draft for the Saints .
The Ricky Williams blockbuster trade was not the first time that was suggested , the first time was Peyton Manning . But a couple of Sorry A$$ ex Saint personel blocked any trade thoughts , knowing what the name ment to New Orleans . Benson might not be denied on the last chance for a legacy quarterback . Eli Manning for the Saints , would be hugely marketable for the Saints and Fielkow is drooling over the potential Eli would bring to the Saints . Jake Delhomme\'s name has been seen all over the Carolina Panther boards , they could make a large contract offer for him next year . Quarterback is going to be an issue in New Orleans next year . Shaun King , would be a regional favorite and not change the offense too much should he be called upon . The order should be something like this in the draft : 1 . MLB 2 . CB 3 . Safety - Knight has dropped off , and is currently in Hasletts dog house . Depending on Eli , this should be a defensive draft year . |
