New Orleans Saints next free-agent stop could be tight end
Take a break from thinking about the New Orleans Saints and their defensive holes for a second. Don’t be surprised if the Saints take a look at some tight end depth behind Jimmy Graham in the next few days of free agency.
Graham and Michael Higgins are the only two tight ends on the Saints roster after releasing veteran tight end David Thomas a couple of weeks ago. With Higgins being so inexperienced, the Saints obviously need to sign a veteran as their No. 2 tight end (even though drafting one isn’t out of the question either). Here’s a list of free-agent tight ends still available on the market (thanks to NFL.com): Fred Davis, Brandon Myers, Ben Watson, Kevin Boss, David Thomas (who the Saints released earlier this offseason), Dallas Clark, Visanthe Shiancoe, Travis Beckum, Chris Cooley, Kellen Davis, Matt Spaeth, Kellen Winslow, Todd Heap, Dante Rosario, Alex Smith. "A Veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Ben Watson and Kevin Boss would be two solid pickups. Cooley was always a favourite of mine but he has an injury history.
Winslow is a headcase but if that could be kept in check he is a great talent. Imagine lining up with both him and Graham and then Colston, Moore and Morgan. who would you cover? |

Anthony Fasano
He's someone that's more within our budget and would make a nice #2 TE. |

Cooley was a stud a couple of years ago. A #2 could be a good spoot here for him

We'll probably bring Thomas back at a lower price.
