Saints Sign Ben Watson, Re sign Humber
Saints signed TE Ben Watson to a three-year contract.
A do-it-all tight end still going relatively strong at age 32, Watson will replace David Thomas as the Saints' top backup behind Jimmy Graham. In 16 games with the Browns last season, Watson hauled in 49 passes for 501 yards and three touchdowns. His numbers are likely to dip with a reduced role in New Orleans, but this is a smart depth signing by Saints GM Mickey Loomis & Co. Via rotoworld New Orleans Saints Add TE Benjamin Watson and LB Ramon Humber Saints re-signed LB Ramon Humber to a one-year contract. An undersized weak-side linebacker type at 5-foot-11 and 232 pounds, Humber won't be a candidate to play on defense in Rob Ryan's new 3-4. He did rack up eight special teams tackles in 2012 and could earn a roster spot there. Can A brother get a breaking News!!!! |
