...are starting to look like freaking geniuses!

...Defensive end Will Smith is a surprise (starter).

The first-round draft pick from Ohio State has practiced with the first-team defense the past two days in place of injured right end Darren Howard, and said he's prepared to start if the veteran can't play.

...Howard's neck injury forced him to miss practice again Wednesday. An MRI exam this week revealed a bulging disc that is pressing against his spinal column
Everyone doubted the pick. Now it's going to pay dividends right from the start. Instead of picking a mediocre corner (Gamble was the best on the board at that point since Robinson and Hall were long gone), or an second tier linebacker (which BTW we did pick in the second round. And he's starting too.) we got a stud for insurace because the only thing that's for sure in the NFL is that players are going to get hurt.

The premium was paid in April. Now it's time to collect.

Not true- most here saw the value in the pick. Can\'t remember anyone who thought it was a bad pick.

Are you kiddin\' BandB? Numerous folks were in here screaming about not drafting a corner. Lots of moonshiners have beat poor Haz to death over pickin Smith.

I don\'t often take up for the Moonshiner\'s but I do believe they kinda liked the pick, but thought we should have traded down instead of picking him.

There were a handful of idiots who thought we were the dumbest team on the planet though, but most of us ignored that nonsense.

He is going to be a star.

I understand that. I guess what I meant to say was, nobody of any relevance around here dogged the pick. The few that I saw were one-post wonders.

Hate to hear that D-How might not play, but I\'m anxious to see what the Prince can do against the Hawks. Especially with Walter Jones in there after missing all of camp.....AGAIN!!!
