Re: Saints working on 2 year deal with Asomugha?
A 1-year or a 2-year contract would be ideal, so that the Saints wouldn't need to be investing too much time and money on an unproven commodity - which he is at the moment - and hopefully it'll be for about $3.5M/yr.

I'd be a little careful using facebook as a news source.

Re: Saints working on 2 year deal with Asomugha?
I would imagine wherever he signs will be a 2 year deal. He's hardly unproven, however. It's more of a case of him needing to re-establish himself.

He's better than Greer and Robinson.

Unproven?
Really? Wasn't he once considered ONE of the best corners in the game? |
Re: Saints working on 2 year deal with Asomugha?
I'll believe it when I see it on BSPN or NFLN

I didn't really mean the "unproven commodity" statement to be taken so much out of context - unproven in the sense that he had two bad years with the Eagles and no one really knows if that in fact was due to the zone scheme he was forced to play in over there or if it was due to him no longer being the CB he once was with the Raiders because of other factors like age and motivation. So, that's the context inside of which he is in my opinion an unproven commodity at the moment and will be until we see him play with a new team. |
