A 1-year or a 2-year contract would be ideal, so that the Saints wouldn't need to be investing too much time and money on an unproven commodity - which he is at the moment - and hopefully it'll be for about $3.5M/yr.

I didn't really mean the "unproven commodity" statement to be taken so much out of context - unproven in the sense that he had two bad years with the Eagles and no one really knows if that in fact was due to the zone scheme he was forced to play in over there or if it was due to him no longer being the CB he once was with the Raiders because of other factors like age and motivation. So, that's the context inside of which he is in my opinion an unproven commodity at the moment and will be until we see him play with a new team. |
