Jeff Fisher?
You got me hook, line and sinker !! Forgive the pun, but this is a coach that could really take us to the next level. Whodat, you make me very excited, but the harsh reality is that you are like my prom date........ Full of promise, but still I am left loving myself, with no fisher to nibble on my hook. |

I\'d love to have Jeff Fisher, but the Titans would be insane to let him go. He has two years left on his contract, and this is really the first year he\'s not been successful. In five years, Fisher has led the Titans to four playoff appearances, two divison titles, two AFC championship games, and one Super Bowl appearance. All this, as WhoDat said, with a team largely comprised of injury-prone riff-raff. This season, strangely, has some Titans fans calling for Fisher\'s head. I don\'t know who they think they\'re gonna do better with (see our coaching search lists!), but they\'d better shaddup before they get their wish. I think the Titans record this season is somewhat of an aberration, with injuries that: actually kept Steve McNair off the field (for once), kept Chris Brown struggling (though he was running rampant before), and even affected their kicking game (Joe Nedney was injured for the second season in a row). The salary cap finally caught up with them, as the Titans were one of the hardest-hit teams in free agency. They lost half of their starting D-line (including Javon Kearse), but responded by drafting DT Randy Starks and DE\'s Antwan Odom, Travis Laboy, and Richard Schoebel. All are quality players who\'ll contribute for years to come. Seems to me that the fans should understand a rebuilding year... Nonetheless, if they\'re still so mad and want to get rid of him, we\'ll be happy to have him down here... |

I agree that the Titans would be nuts to let him go. But even ESPN and the NFL channel are reporting on rumblings now. I think the supposed feeling in Tennessee is that he had plenty of time to get over the hump (a la Tony Dungy) and couldn\'t. He\'s been there a long time and with McNair getting close to retirement and virtually every other hold over from his glory days gone and the team in such a bad spot, now could be a good time to start over from scratch. I don\'t know if that\'s true or if the Titans will follow through, that\'s just how it seems.

Kinda sounds like our Saints huh?Ain\'t no guarantees that good ole Benson\'s gonna fire Haslett either. Something about six million reasons to keep the bone headed yard egg and his band of masked theives acting like they\'re coachs.

If the Saint\'s don\'t fire Hazlet and the Stadium talks break down one more time, look for the LA Saint\'s in 08. The only reason you would keep Hazlett around for another year was to ensure a losing season. You would lose alot more than 6 million in revenue by keeping him. Props to WhoDat for your genie in a bottle interpretation.

New Orleans has been sinking since it was built, and now it appears to be sinking even faster than before - thanks to the New Orleans Saints :exclam:
