this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Your way off base. I do not quite understand your need for the Saints to just go out and sign "somebody". Those teams are playing catch up.. Something we do not need to do. Furthermore this seasons cap issues are ...

Furthermore this seasons cap issues are not solely on Drew, Drews production vs $ far exceeds the production from Smith/harper/

With only 3 million in cap space, you don't go out and just start signing people. We have to be smart about it and not over-pay; ie. Nnamdi... He either signs or the 49ers over-pay for his services
We do not have the cap space to fight bidding wars
