My mock would go either first by trading a rb we have Cadet whose ready to blossom like Ivory this yr! So trade Ivory for a 2nd or 3rd or you cld go big and trade Ingram if value is there! So there is my 2nd rd pick and trading R. Harper is going to give me a 5th!
I agree we'd be lucky if Brandon's there in the third. Even if we could get a fifth for Harper, who are we gonna replace him with?

Ivory wouldn't. bring any thing more than a 4th if that.

Re: Trade down scenarios

I just don't think Harper is tradable. But, if we can get an extra few picks... mainly a second, we can draft a safety like Reed (late 1st) or Cyprien (2nd round... if we can acquire one).

You can replace Harper with Jenkins. We need more of a coverage strong safety anyway.

A part of me really does hope we can trade down in this draft. I think we can get more value later in the first round.

I don't think I'd go for their 25. 23 or bust. If they want Austin, they will pay up. Then I'd be open to trading down with the Niners as well. Anyway...

#25 ILB Alec Ogletree
#52 OLB Jamie Collins or DL Jesse Williams or OL Kyle Long or S Eric Reid
#75 NT Johnathan Jenkins
#109 OT Jordan Mills

Re: Trade down scenarios

What's the chance of them taking Tavon Austin or the safety from texas Vaccaro if there at 15?
They have been known to take the best player available and it almost for sure that the 3 coveted LT's won't be there, just asking for everyone's thoughts.

I like the idea of taking either one of those guys with our pick at 15. Austin would be another nice little weapon for Payton and Brees to play with.

Vaccaro makes more sense, though. With that said, the best thing to do is skip these guys and trade down.

Re: Trade down scenarios

i really hate round one all together. everyone needs to move down 10 picks or so. there are 2 maybe 3 players that really belong in the top ten.

trade if you can and if you can not thank god for the new draft salary set up.

Re: Trade down scenarios

Not having a second rd pick is a particularly bitter pill to swallow in this draft. Because of the depth of defensive players and our pressing needs it is possible that we could really benefit trading down and recouping a 2nd rd pick.

If we come away from the draft with Rambo and a LT I'll be stoked.
