makes selecting a late round DE pick in the draft more of a luxury. beside smith needs some one his own age to talk to on the side lines

Get the feeling of a slow clap and rightfully so. I do like that he knows the system but not sure how much weight that carries, he won't make a big impact either way at his age. If it aids in preventing huge mistakes then ok. All we need is something that is maybe 15-20% better than the last batch and we should get in the playoffs.

Yep, we need players for short yardage goal line and 1st down packages.

I do like this pick up since it's probably very affordable to bring him in, and he can serve as a player coach for the D-line on how Ryan's scheme works - like what Butler can do for the LB corps.
